We all get run down at some point and I know with kids its unavoidable. Here are the top 10 things I do to avoid getting sick when I am run down:
Sweet orange tea, one lemon, a tsp of honey, and a tsp of ginger.- Oil of oregano (recommended to take only for 2 weeks, so only take when you feel your immune system is compromised).
- Drink lots water.
- SLEEP!! Get 8 hours of sleep. Sleep is when your body fixes itself, so if your are not getting enough you are running your body down.
- Think positively. Your mind is very powerful.
- Exercise. My personal favorite is Pilates because it’s low impact so you don’t wear yourself out.
- Sunshine good ol’ vitamin D.
- Eat a well rounded diet of fruits vegetables, fish, and whole grains.
- Avoid sugar.
- Wash hands and surfaces that you use regularly (phones, door handles, counters, remote controls etc.)
